Larry the Snail is a stray sea snail with a bad attitude. Template:Link buys him from the pound after Template:Link had chosen to live with Template:Link and Rex had run away. He first appears in the episode "Dumped."
Description[edit]
Larry has very thick and bushy black eyebrows on his head. He has an olive-brown shell with light brown dots, a purple curl on his shell, and a pink and jade green underside.
In the video game Lights, Camera, Pants!, he is shown to have a mustache, but a very small one.
Personality and habits[edit]
He hates sleeping on newspapers on the floor and would rather sleep on a bed. He hisses when he does not like something or when he does not get his way. His attitude is also not the best.
Role in series[edit]
"Dumped"[edit]
Larry is the second pet that SpongeBob brings home after Gary chooses to live with Patrick, following Rex. One of the first things SpongeBob does with Larry is feeding him. However, Larry hisses at the food and a frightened SpongeBob takes it away.
A little later, SpongeBob prepares himself to go to sleep and had put a bunch of newspapers on the floor for Larry to sleep on. However, Larry hisses and rips up the newspaper and takes over SpongeBob's bed, forcing him to sleep on the floor.
The next day, Larry watches television until SpongeBob interrupts him with a snail joke that he said Gary always loved. Larry however, is not amused by this joke and angrily hisses at SpongeBob, before leaving out of distaste for him and probably runs away like Rex did.

Larry, Rex, and Mystery are seen drinking out of a river with straws, but SpongeBob and the clams he was following scares them away.

Larry is shown locked up at the animal shelter but is freed by Gary.

Larry is featured as one of SpongeBob's former pets. His name is spelled as "Larry" throughout the book.

Trivia[edit]
- In "Gary's New Toy," when Gary hisses at the end, he looks like Larry.
- He is one of many characters named "Larry" on the show, with the others being Larry Luciano, Larry the Lobster, Larry SquarePants, Pinhead Larry, and Lucky Larry.
- His name is usually spelled with two R's, including in the credits. Gary's food bowl only has one R, and SpongeBob does not add another when he changes it to be Larry's.
- He looks similar to Larry Luciano, as they both have green shells and purple bodies. However, their shells have different color patterns on them.
- In November Template:Time, Nickelodeon's Instagram account featured Larry in a "Which SpongeBob villain are you?" video.
