Kelpy G is a famous clarinet player who Template:Link admires. He first appears in the episode "The Thing."
Description[edit]
Kelpy G's appearance is like most octopuses in the show: tall and teal with four legs. He has long, light brown hair and a regular brown mustache. He wears an orange, long-sleeve turtleneck with three red stripes on it. However, in "Smoothe Jazz at Bikini Bottom," he wears leather black shoes that look like Template:Link's and a long purple dress-shirt.
In the third movie, Kelpy G has darker and curly hair. He also now wears a golden chain around his neck, and a red shirt with white full sleeves. He also has less stress marks on his forehead.
Personality[edit]
He seems to be a very mellow octopus who believes in peace and tranquility.
Biography[edit]
Kelpy G has his very own TV show where he performs smooth jazz. He also performs smooth jazz for the Smellies; he calls them "his children," suggesting that he is their leader.
He appears in the episodes "The Thing" and "Smoothe Jazz at Bikini Bottom," both of in which he performs a jazz song on Squidward's TV and performs a concert. In the former, Squidward is annoyed that SpongeBob and Template:Link keep interrupting while he is trying to listen to Kelpy G play.
In the latter, Squidward attempts to meet Kelpy G but gets kicked out as SpongeBob plays with the musician.
Trivia[edit]
- He is a parody of Template:W.
- His music can be heard in "Bucket Sweet Bucket," "A Flea in Her Dome," and "Enchanted Tiki Dreams," but he is not seen in those episodes.
- Even though he met Squidward in "The Thing," he does not seem to recognize him when he meets him again in "Smoothe Jazz at Bikini Bottom."
- Kelpy G is shown playing at the Lost City of Atlantic City in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run. His performance is what convinces Squidward to go along with the other main characters to find SpongeBob. His cues are performed by Kenny G.
- Kelpy G changes his clothes in each of his appearances.
