Goofy Goober is a peanut mascot that appears in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and its tie-in video game, novel, and Cine-Manga book adaptations. He later appears in the episodes "Patnocchio" and "The Goofy Newbie."

Description[edit]

Goofy Goober is a large, light tan peanut character with light green arms and legs. He wears a Southern hat, a red bow tie with yellow dots, and Template:W-like gloves. He also holds a lollipop. He has a single tooth, two large dimples on his cheeks, and a nose resembling Template:W's. The costume also has a few gadgets hidden inside such as a long spring with a pointing finger on the end and a vacuum.

In "The Goofy Newbie", it is revealed that Goofy Goober is really a security fish dressed up as a peanut. He is a large light purple muscular fish with yellow hair and dark purple lips. He has three freckles on the right side under his mouth. He wears a purple suit with a white dress shirt and a red necktie along with black shoes and green shades.

Biography[edit]

Goofy Goober is the mascot of the Goofy Goober's Ice Cream Party Boat restaurant. He is featured in products such as the Goofy Goober back scratcher, Goober dollars, Goofy Goober tokens, and Goofy Goober underwear. He is also the undercover security guard of Goofy Goober's Ice Cream Party Boat in disguise.

Role in Movies[edit]

The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie[edit]

Goofy Goober is first seen entertaining the children and singing the "Goofy Goober Song" on the stage. He is last seen on stage with a drunk Template:Link and Template:Link.

Role in series[edit]

"The Original Fry Cook"[edit]

His undisguised form appears as one of Jim's bodyguards along with the bald bodyguard.

"What Ever Happened to SpongeBob?"[edit]

His undisguised form appears as a chauffeur allowing CheeseHead BrownPants into a limousine.

"The Slumber Party"[edit]

His undisguised form appears as a security guard that was ordered to keep Template:Link and SpongeBob away from Template:Link's private beach party at Goo Lagoon.

"Squidward's School for Grown-Ups"[edit]

His undisguised form and the bald bodyguard kick SpongeBob out of the Art Museum.

"Patnocchio"[edit]

After being mentioned and referenced in many episodes throughout the series, Goofy Goober finally made his first physical disguised appearance in the show as a cameo. He is shown as a waiter at Goofy Goober's Ice Cream Party Boat in this episode.

"The Goofy Newbie"[edit]

He appears in the beginning of the episode handing balloons to the children at Goofy Goober's Ice Cream Party Boat. Squidina then calls him to kick Patrick out since he keeps trying samples instead of actually buying ice cream. Goofy Goober takes his disguise off revealing his true form as a security guard and uses an ice cream scooper to scoop Patrick out of the ice cream parlor.

On his first day of working at the Goofy Goober's Ice Cream Party Boat, Patrick temporarily takes over Goofy Goober's job by dressing up as the peanut himself. He eventually uses the costume to steal ice cream by sucking it up with the hidden vacuum in the costume. Patrick almost gets fired because of this.

Trivia[edit]

  • According to Vincent Waller, Paramount Pictures formerly did not allow any movie-exclusive content to be used in the Template:SBSP series from Template:Time to Template:Time. This is why Goofy Goober did not make a physical appearance in an episode until "Patnocchio" (not counting his undisguised form). He recalled, "We couldn't even use images of Goofy Goober from the movie back then."[1]
    • This makes him the first character from the movie to fully appear in the series.
