Emergency Mother-In-Law Program (E.M.I.L.P.) is Karen Plankton's mother who appears in the episode "Single Cell Anniversary."

Role in series[edit]

"The Algae's Always Greener"/Krusty Krab Adventures[edit]

Template:Link indirectly mentions her and her husband when he says, "Your parents must have been like, part computer or something."

"Single Cell Anniversary"[edit]

It is Karen and Plankton's anniversary. Karen has accessed the Krabby Patty secret formula and is willing to give it to Plankton if he gives her something. Plankton leaves.

Later, Template:Link notices that Plankton needs help and agrees to help him think of something for Karen. Soon, they find out that she is a music lover. SpongeBob teaches Plankton how to sing. Later, Plankton sings a love song for Karen with the help of SpongeBob and Template:Link. As promised, she starts downloading the Krabby Patty formula. However, Karen starts crying, which she is not supposed to be able to do, and short-circuits.

Karen turns on again, but instead of showing herself, she shows "E.M.I.L.P.." Plankton asks what that is and the full title shows up as, "Emergency Mother-In-Law Program." He is horrified to hear it as his mother-in-law then shows up on the screen complains about Plankton and wishes that Karen could have married an ATM, who is someone with money.

"Plankton Gets the Boot"[edit]

At the end of the episode, Karen mentions how her mother, referring to her as "motherboard," warned Karen about Plankton and that she should have listened to her. pl:E.M.I.L.P. ru:П.Э.В.Т.
